if anyone ever brings the bible up in a gay marriage debate, feel free to come to me with questions about that, I know all the relevant verses, mostly, thanks to my upbringing
I might even make posts about it if anyone wants them
from a law point of view this shouldn’t even be necessary, but it’s nice to be prepared if someone brings it up
also the documentary “Fish out of Water” is an excellent resource
I guess I just don’t really get why this is news
are you serious? it’s a tremendous deal that the president personally AND politically supports gay marriage and backs the idea that they should be equal. he is the leader of this country and what he says goes most of the time. i don’t get why it WOULDN’T be news. are you forgetting how NO ONE in his level of power has had this same position? are you forgetting 30 states have banned gay marriage completely? it’s news because it is extremely important to know that the president of america is officially backing gay rights.
i mean it’s important but like
didn’t he also have a pretty cool position on guantanamo bay too
What does that have to do with this progress
literally nothing
My point is I don’t really feel like celebrating until
You know
He does something

i’m pretty sure barack obama made it clear from the start that he believes in same sex marriage but I guess it’s “”“official”“” now.
yeah, I thought he supported it from the get-go
I mean if he was actually doing something about it then that would be some news worthy of attention but
right now he’s just in campaign mode again

There’s a superimposed quotation of what he said during the speech: “We know the candidate Barack Obama, what he was like—the anti-wat government nig-uhh, ff, the, uh, America was a source for division…” which was said on March 27, 2012.]
In this video at 34:25 , Rick Santorum called Barack Obama the N word.
If you still support his ass, I’m going to pray for you or something.

“Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grothman has introduced a bill that would require the State of Wisconsin to officially deem single parenthood to be a “contributor” to child abuse and neglect and to put the same into statutory laws of the state.”
If you live in Wisconsin, contact this guy and tell him this is not okay.
At a protest in favor of reproductive rights today in Richmond VA, protesters assembled on the Virginia Capitol’s steps. Police, many in riot gear, demanded that they disperse or be arrested. 33 people refused to leave the steps, and were arrested.
